On Saturday we went to Flötningen which is just by the Norwegian border. We went to take the snowmobile for a little drive. Lovely weather and we had a really good time.
We went all the way up to the top of Härjehågna which is at 1185 meter over the sea. Or 3887.795 feet if the converter is correct. It was windy up there but despite it being a bit hazy the view was fantastic! You could see the border for miles and miles. Stunning!! Next time I am hoping for better weather so that I can take lots and lots of pics up there. The ones I took now are ok but not fabulos.
From the top the border can be seen. I actually had no idea that it was cleared from trees and all so that it could be seen like that. But it made for a fun photo. To the left is Norway and to the right is Sweden.
After being up there we had sandwiches and hot chocolate, just at the side of the mountain. Just enjoyed the sun and warm weather. For once we actually brought "real food" instead of just Coca-Cola and a bar of chocolate. And it was a smart thing to do since we actually left home at 6 in the morning.
More photos at flickr as usual.
And once again I have been a lousy updater. Sometimes I just keep postponing it and I never get around to actually writing anything.
For a short while spring came to Sweden. The weather was so warm and sunny and I loved every second. And then on Sunday, snow. I hate this flip-flopping between spring and winter. I hate it every year.
My simple philosophy is that either there should be snow and real winter, or no snow at all and spring/summer/autumn. This wet mushy snow sucks. And I hate not knowing how to dress in the morning.
And by now I am fed up with winter. I want to use my summer shoes. I want to use my summer jacket. I want to see sun and green leafs when I take my camera out.
On Saturday it was time to visit my parents again. The kittens are now 6 months old and cuter than ever.
I've been really bad at updating. I've been visiting the kittens and didn't post about it. I've had a haircut, bought jeans and been to a birthday party. Posted nothing. Bad bad me.
Today I've been out plowing with Mr Plow. Or as we usually call him, Mattias. :)
Photos of the kittens, 5 months old, can be found at Flickr.
Tis weekend was fun. Saturday I went out with Mattias on the snowmobile. Ended up driving over 43 miles to visit a friend and to check out the view from the highest top around here. So beautiful. Sunny weather and untouched snow.
On Sunday we were quite a lot of people who went out for the day. Unfortunately the tracks weren't very good the first half of it, so the first 30 miles or so wasn't very comfortable. But the experience was fun though.
This was my second and third time out on the snowmobile and I am having so much fun!
As usual, there are more at Flickr.
For the first time in my life I've been on a snowmobile. And it was so much fun!! Mattias took me out Saturday and I absolutely loved it! We don't have that much snow, so it was just barely snowmobile weather. Hopefully we'll get more snow and it'll be even more fun.
Yes you heard me right. That was me asking for more snow. Unlike a little over a week ago when I complained about it. I know it's weird, but I just had no idea how much fun snow could be.
As usual, there are more photos at Flickr.
If we have survived this winter without snow until now, do we really need snow now? I don't think so. I know I am much happier without it.
This has been a week of not doing much at all. Sitting at home mostly cause I haven't been feeling well. Hopefully that will change now and I'll be able to get out a bit. Use the camera and meet people. I need to be more social.
Other than that, I've found nothing but crap on TV tonight and I'm bored as hell.
I had a quite good Christmas. Good food and very nice company. Plus, I got exactly what I wished for. I've been longing for a new camera for ages since mine just got older and older and just didn't want to work any more.
It had come to the point where it would take me 30 sec or more holding down the button before it would take the picture if I was trying to use the flash. And sometimes I had to try several times.
Now that I have the new camera photography is fun again and it just feels so good to finally have something that not only works, but also gives me so many more options. I LOVE my new camera!
New Years Eve was spent with friends. One again good food and very nice company.
Winter hasn't been very "wintry" here. Not much snow at all and it's been very warm. I usually don't like winter that much, but this feels weird as well.
